Media? Media controls our lives - it affects our perceptions, or ideas. Those who control the media, control us, say some. And up until now, those who control the media (minus a Murdoch or two) have been over 40, comfortably and conservatively middle aged.

In 1995, when the Internet took off around the world, as a sort of gigantic global new-fangled fad, a number of people just sat around and watched. They weren't caught up in the hype regarding cyberspace - because they'd been using it for years. They were students, at universities. From then on young people (call them screenagers, Gen WWW, or whatever) have been at the head of the pack in a new net-centric environment....
