Twilite on the Lake
a work of Poetry by Wintermute (Brendan McCallum)
A hard day's partying, followed by a walk to the shore of the nearby lake, led to a respite of stupendous beauty
The line of divide wixt sky and sea
does not exist for this place;
I feel the rocks beneath my feet,
the gentle breeze as it strokes my facethe darkening water and how it is still,
yet always moving, and always will.The Sun dips low beneath sky,
and sinks into the west;
It's twilite now, here on the lake...
I feel my heart beat in my breastits gentle pulse in sync with the waves,
and the wind through the trees on these mild summer days.
