Icing Sugar
a work of Poetry by joddess (Nadia Jee)

Deep down inside, I suppose I'm just a bitter-sweet candy girl.

Icing Sugar
At least dust me with something..
(submitted by joddess.)

Dust me with your icing sugar
Powdered with the white of whites,
That hurts my eyes and chokes all that is,
Something less than all this blight.

Shove me through that crystal forest
Soft and sticky shards of ice
Pierce the hushed translucency of,
Forgotten muted lullabies.

Don't you dare. I'm just as tough as your,
Fairy floss. Pretty in pink.
But let me glisten. Like that,
Widowed spider dancing in the morning dew.

Pluck at my pretty pink candy heart.
Flaunt the power of a black rubber sole.
Gently powder your face with,
Only the best saccharine that you steal.
