Dignified Clone
a work of Poetry by Nug (Megan Verevis)
This was inspired by a song. 'Clones (we're all), which was covered by the smashing pumpkins, but i think it was originally a alice cooper!? (don't quote me on that one) song. anyhow here it is...
doubts seeds, have long been sown
all of our cover, has long been blown
we all clearly mirror, each others tone
we are all just our own little,
dignified clone.hello fellow clone!
our creativity, withered and long been thrown
all made from the same, flesh and bone
just how long have we really known?
we are all just our own little,
dignified clone.hello fellow clone!
theres no point resisting,
persisting, on your 'individuality'
theres no point detesting,
un-resting, in your newly acclaimed 'status'we can no longer pospone,
the fact that you and i,
are just alone,
a clone.oh sorry,
