LAST OF THE V8 INTERCEPTORS

if you like big heavy tight cachank achanka guitar stuff then you'll LOVE this like a finely tuned V8 the Front End Loader lads have put together 16 big riffs and proved themselves as great Australian rocksters. It's been two years since their last release - lets ride, but they're back and they've got a rool winner. Last of the V8 interceptors is a surprisingly eclectic range of material.
Bowden is sweet in Summer hits, things get groovey with the likes of Pulse and half way through the album the pace gets a little moody and introspective with mighty mighty straight and you think that's bad. My fave is Life without Rockboy a jiggy little country number. ODD but good. Perhaps all the work behind the bar at the Sandringham Hotel on a Saturday afternoon to the sounds of the local band Spurs for Jesus [chicken wire, satin fringed shirts and cowboy hats] have tainted Davis's and the rest of the bands lust for metal.
aside from the big slabs of blistering rock, this album is definetly an older, insightful and more meaningful release - just listen to the lyrics. goes off :-]
