| Damien Frost is a part-time visual arts student at
the University of Newcastle and work in a non-profit
community cultural media centre known as The Pod. His art has many levels of meaning, and rather than being specific, Damien prefers the viewer to construct his or her own views. One of his aims is to make theart as accessible, fun and "public" as possible. In 1994, he opened a small studio gallery that exhibited student and unemployed artists works free of charge. In 1996 and 1997, he was the visual arts coordinator for the Newcastle Fringe Festival. In 1998, Damien will be editor of Opus, Newcastle University's student newspaper. |
