| The
Ian Reed Foundation was established through a
trust created by Ian Reed, a prominent radio
writer in the 1970s, to encourage aspiring
Australian radio drama writers. The Foundation has
encouraged writers in practical ways since 1983.
Assistance has been in the form of grants,
fellowships, various playwriting competitions
with cash prizes, seminars conducted by writers
and producers and cash bonuses for new writers
who deserve encouragement.
This year,
to coincide with the LOUD Media Festival Of Youth
Culture and the Arts, the Ian Reed Foundation
Prize for Radio Drama will be awarded to young
writers, aged 15 to 25.
Guidelines:
To be
eligible to enter the Ian Reed Foundation Prize
