How often have you heard, ’Turn that racket down, don’t speak unless your spoken to, and today’s youth have nothing to say?’ Well, LOUD isn’t going to turn it down, off or out.

The LOUD festival’s radio arena wants you to shout out, speak up and mouth off. Exercise those tonsils and push that brain. If you imagine it, hear it, or want to say it - don’t make the voices stop!

LOUD, Australia’s first national media festival of youth culture and the arts believes that youth have a lot to say and want to give you the opportunity to say it by interpreting the word - LOUD. Any translation or subversion of LOUD is encouraged - be it creative, obscure or entirely obvious.

Your LOUD interpretation can be presented in any radio format. It can be an interview with someone, a short play you have written, a monologue, or you could grab a microphone and record some sounds to put together.

It may be fun, interesting, serious or stupid, just make sure it’s short. All entries must be between 30 seconds and 3 minutes long and judges will look for the most creative interpretation of LOUD, as well as the most interesting use of sound to deliver that interpretation.
